When asked, "What's your style and how would you describe it?" my answer was simply...
For our Digital Techniques homework last week, we were required to: rummage through our own closet, style an outfit, photograph it on ourselves, and then create a fashion set on photoshop. Upon presenting this layout in class, we had to answer two questions about ourselves.
"What's your style and how would you describe it?"
I know it may not seam like a question of great magnitude… but to me, a budding fashion styling student, that's a loaded question (0_0)! I thought long had hard on how to answer this, have it, at best, describe my style, and what it's all about.
I realized, I really didn't have an answer.
There was no set genre of style and expression that I could categorize myself in, because I wouldn't perfectly fit the mold of any of those categories. I am forever evolving my style and changing it everyday. It changes daily with my mood, the weather, with my current life situation, etc. We shouldn't try to fit ourselves into these classifications like we're just another file, waiting to be labeled. It shouldn't define us. Instead of limiting one's self to these labels, we should embrace all of who we are and express it. With that mindset unlocked, style becomes limitless to the possibilities :]
…That day I took the photo, I felt like being urban ;]
