Lately, as it gets deeper and deeper into the semester, these jogger pants have been my savior and my "late morning's" uniform. They have been keeping my mornings very harmonious because I can still dash out the door in 15 minutes and still look chic (that's = brushing my teeth + getting dressed + doing my makeup + doing my hair). What puts me more at ease is the fact that they were only $9! ($10 with tax, but still!) My academic mind and my fashion soul are balanced as one in harmony… for now haha. Hope everyone is having a good day :]
That realization hits that you are a legitimate college student when you are eating 49¢ ramen because thats all you can afford, and can't go shopping when the seasons change like every other fashion lover out there. I miss the normal life that I grew accustomed to when I had three jobs and never had to worry about money, but life goes on.
It gave me the opportunity to to comb through my closet and pair up some pieces of mine in new and different ways. I normally wear this cropped moto jacket with more girly things to give it just that right touch of edge, but I decided to add it to this casual outfit to add a different texture into my outfit, and make it not look as casual. I've been obsessing over this necklace from House of Aria because it adds just the right amount of statement to the outfit without going overboard. Challenging myself has taught me to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Something my photography teacher drills into us almost every class lesson and I've not only taken it, and applied it to my photography, but I've made it apart of my everyday life.
Hope everyone goes out and tries the same! Love, Kikue

An outing down Haight street full of homework assignments, and good time well spent with good friends. My friends and I had homework that called for a Haight street outing and we decided to have some fun while doing it. One of my friends had to go to vintage stores and find time period pieces and I had to work on my photography for my photography class, so it was a win win!
I had to practice the techniques that I learned in my photography class so this trip provided the perfect ↓subjects of interest to experiment on↓
After Haight street, we found ourselves in Union Square amongst a diverse collection of art by many different artists. Since we are in art school, we decided to hang out for a bit to appreciate the talent and soak in the allure of it all.
…She had to, gotta love her for it. She always helps me with my projects, impromptu or not. I couldn't have been blessed with better friends then them :]
